This position is responsible for the success of a product or family of products. This position will work closely with cross-functional business leaders, peers, and technology leadership to ensure systems are positioned for the growth of the University. This includes performing or supervising analysis, design, development, and testing, to ensure the deployment of reliable, secure, and scalable business-critical applications and platforms. They will work in a collaborative environment with business and technology owners and fosters a culture of teamwork and support across the University and within the technology team.This position is a blend of product, project and personnel leadership and will require partnering with cross functional teams to achieve high performance levels with application services and support the alignment of team activities with the university's business needs.Duties may include:Understanding and representing user needsDefining a vision and roadmap for a productAligning stakeholders around the vision for the productPrioritizing product features and capabilitiesManaging a product backlogOverseeing development stages and evaluate progressServing as a liaison between stakeholders and developmentCollaborating across teams to empower independent decision-makingAdministering applicationsProviding high level reporting to departments across the universityOther duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalentThree years of experience working with software applications in a technical or functional support rolePrioritizing work and ensuring projects and workloads are completed on timePreferred Qualifications:Five or more years of experience working with software applications in a technical or functional leadership roleBachelor's Degree in Business, Management of Information Systems, Information Technology or related fieldAgile Certification (e.g., Product Owner, Scrum Master or similar)ITIL CertificationExperience with:Ellucian Banner ERP, Ethos, Ellucian Experience, and other Ellucian applications and toolsUnderstanding the end-to-end user experience including integrations and dependenciesTranslating strategy into roadmaps and implementation plansWriting requirements or user storiesEnterprise reporting tools such as Argos, Cognos, or Power BIWorking with Higher Education technologyModern API development with web services and ERP integration design patternsAgile methodologiesProject management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, TeamDynamixSource Code Control / Versioning tools (e.g., Git)Unit-test frameworks, testing automation and CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Selenium, JUnit, GitLab CI/CD)Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:NoneRequired Licensures, Certifications or otherPosting Number: SP004632PPosting Date: 10/18/2024Closing Date:Open Until Filled: YesSpecial Instructions:Open until a pool of qualified candidates is identified.
