Summary: The Technical Project Manager (TPM) is responsible for leading Information Technology software development initiatives and client implementations into an existing enterprise application environment. The TPM will define project scope and ensure milestones are met. The person in this role will identify critical path decisions, make recommendations, manage project issues through to resolution, enforce project standards, and develop and manage the project plan and schedule. Essential Duties and Functions: These include the following duties:
  • Proven technical and professional skills running complex projects from design and development to production
  • Experience managing requirements and scope
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Work independently to define and drive work through the organization
  • Define requirements and plan project lifecycle through deployment
  • Develop plans and schedule project deliverables, goals, and milestones for implementations
  • Define project resources. Manage project resource hours, project costs, and project budgets
  • Efficiently identify and understand project and technical issues and business implications
  • Create strategies for risk mitigation and contingency planning
  • Capable of handling multiple diverse and complex assignments concurrently
  • Experience leading and directing project teams

  • Planning/organizing- the individual prioritizes and plans work activities and uses time efficiently. Experience with shifting demands and priorities as well as with managing budget to actuals in a technical setting. Ability to create and use logical, systematic processes to achieve goals.
  • Interpersonal skills-the individual maintains confidentiality, remains open to others' ideas, and exhibits willingness to try new things. Demonstrates appropriate interpersonal styles and communication methods to work effectively with business partners to meet mutual goals.
  • Oral communication-the individual speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations and demonstrates group presentation skills. The individual should be able to demonstrate the ability to clearly transmit ideas and information orally in a way that is appropriate to the topic, purpose, and audience.
  • Written communication-the individual edits work for spelling and grammar, presents numerical data effectively and can read and interpret written information. The individual should express ideas clearly; use language with precision, construct logical arguments; take notes, and summarize information.
  • Typing proficiency - possesses strong typing proficiency with the ability to run meetings in a fast-based environment. Must be able to simultaneously run the meeting, capture information, and update project documentation.
  • Problem-solving-the individual identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner, gathers and analyzes information skillfully and maintains confidentiality. Experience defining and managing requirements and scope. Able to understand technical issues and business implications.
  • Quality control-the individual demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors own work to ensure quality, has a strong attention to detail, performs research and verification when necessary, and maintains a technical aptitude.
  • Adaptability-the individual adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and can deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher; preferably in technology or business-related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of project management and software development or IT management experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a technical client-facing role
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite and MS Project
Preferred
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification or equivalent
  • Business analysis experience
  • Experience with Jira, Tempo, Confluence, and Smartsheet desired
Physical Requirements Necessary on a Regular Basis:
  • Manual dexterity, arm, and upper body range of motion sufficient for use of a keyboard, mouse, and telephone 7-8 hours per day.
  • Speech and hearing sufficient for in-person and telephone communication 7-8 hours per day Vision sufficient for use of a computer monitor.
  • Ability to sit at a desk 7-8 hours per day

Pay Ranges: Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including skills, experience, work location and more. We offer competitive pay while still allowing for compensation growth within the position and company.
