They are now seeking a Spacecraft Systems Engineer to take ownership of various points of contact, acting as the technical bridge between C-level executives, design teams, and development engineers to drive the successful delivery of projects and products.

Responsibilities

Collaboratively develop future space vehicles, assessing system requirements to meet customer satisfaction while advancing the companys mission of low-cost, cutting-edge architecture.

Create architectural and system definitions and functional flows.

Define and flow down requirements across teams.

Design and manage test operations in collaboration with internal and external teams.

Oversee verification and validation (V&V) plans.

Conduct stakeholder reviews and perform trade studies.

Liaise with the CTO and systems partners to maintain project schedules and technical milestones.

Build and manage a network of vendors and partners to fulfill technical and programmatic needs.

Summarize systems-level technical roadmaps or work plans for customer proposals, including NASA and DoD projects.

Collaborate with leadership to identify opportunities for company products to respond to calls for proposals; provide input for ROMs, business cases, and financial models.

Qualifications

Proficiency in SOLIDWORKS.

Experience with the development of Concept of Operations (ConOps).

Hands-on experience with spacecraft, and bonus points for experience with expandable systems.

Demonstrated ability to provide technical input to proposals and ROMs.

Start-up experience, with a preference for candidates who have interfaced with or worked for NASA or commercial space station providers.

Experience working with vendors and partners to build strong, collaborative relationships.

Ability to create and manage technology roadmaps.

Proficiency in MATLAB is highly desirable.
