Overview:
The Indiana Department of Health (IN-IDOH) seeks a highly skilled Technical IT Project Manager to lead and manage high-complexity IT projects. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in delivering innovative IT solutions, particularly in healthcare and cloud environments. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, project management acumen, and strong communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage high-complexity IT projects within the health department.
- Oversee the complete project lifecycle: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including solution architects, cloud architects, and DevOps engineers.
- Deliver projects on time, within scope, and within budget while managing risks, issues, and changes.
- Provide regular project status updates to stakeholders and senior management.
- Coordinate with the helpdesk team to ensure seamless project implementation and ongoing support.
- Implement and manage IT Service Management (ITSM) best practices and projects.
- Develop dashboards and reporting tools using tools like Power BI or Tableau.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and department standards.
- Lead and provide oversight to a team of approximately 12 individuals.
- Manage large, budget-intensive projects and coordinate with internal and external partners.
- Maintain alignment with PMO guidelines and processes.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, executives, and other audiences through regular updates and reports.
Qualifications:
Required Skills and Experience:
- 10+ years of proven experience managing high-complexity projects and delivering successful outcomes.
- Experience with dashboard tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
- Project Management certification (e.g., PMP).
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related fields with significant IT experience.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Highly Desired Skills and Experience:
- Expertise in Azure, AWS, MuleSoft, DevOps, and ITSM.
- 5+ years of experience working with solution architects and cloud architects.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure and operational projects.
- Experience managing healthcare-related IT projects.
- Experience working with helpdesk systems and managing helpdesk teams.
