Job Summary:

The Technical Proposal Writer is responsible for developing, organizing, and managing high-quality technical proposals for federal government contracts. This role involves collaborating with subject matter experts and project teams to produce clear, compliant, and compelling proposals that align with federal solicitation requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead the creation of technical proposals, ensuring thoroughness, accuracy, and compliance with RFP requirements.

· Collaborate with technical experts, project managers, and cross-functional teams to develop persuasive proposal narratives.

· Analyze RFPs to identify key requirements, evaluation criteria, and submission guidelines.

· Draft, edit, and organize proposal sections, including technical approaches, methodologies, and solutions.

· Review and proofread proposal content to ensure clarity, consistency, and compliance with federal acquisition regulations (FAR, DFARS).

· Manage proposal schedules to ensure timely submission of RFQs, RFPs, and other solicitation responses.

· Maintain expertise in federal contracting trends, regulations, and proposal best practices.

· Support pricing and budget proposal development when required.

Education:

· Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience:

· 3–5 years of experience writing technical proposals for federal government agencies, including large-scale and complex projects.

· Proven ability to develop winning proposals that meet federal evaluation criteria.

Skills and Competencies:

· Strong understanding of federal procurement processes, including FAR, DFARS, and other acquisition guidelines.

· Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail.

· Ability to present complex technical concepts in a clear, accessible format.

· Proficiency in proposal development tools (Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, SharePoint).

· Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple proposals under tight deadlines.

· Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills for working with diverse teams.

· Familiarity with proposal management software and industry best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience in specific federal sectors (e.g., Defense, HHS, IT).

· APMP certification or equivalent proposal management certifications.
