Your role will have a large impact being part of a growing QA team and the technology you test and support. These products are used to protect people, facilities, and assets, at scale around the world, which is pretty world-changing and exciting! This position is based in Westford, MA. Candidates must be commuting distance, or open to relocation.What you will do The QA Team Lead will drive the direction of a focused team. This position is critical in facilitating day to day priorities and processes in addition to getting hands on with the projects within the team. Areas of responsibilities would be reviewing test plans, prioritizing tests, and ensuring best practices are being followed. Having extensive automation experience and a history of software engineering experience will be a significant indicator of success. The team being led by this candidate will consist of both automation and test engineers and will require a system level quality approach. A small portion of time would be allocated to onboarding and mentoring resources. Overall, a strong technical experience in the field of software testing is a must.How you will do itThe engineer will be part of an established QA test team responsible for various software, hardware, and firmware projects. We are operating under Agile principles, and the architect would often be part of multiple scrum teams providing consulting services and ensuring best practices.
  • Design and build physical environments to verify new product functionality
  • Identifying root cause of defects
  • Collaborating with development engineers, architects, and level 3 support engineers
  • Building test plans and test strategies for cloud, server, and web interfaces
  • Reviewing automation priorities
  • Assisting in automation in python, JavaScript, or UFT frameworks
  • Contribute as an embedded member of the sprint team with assigned stories
What we look forRequired
  • Minimum of 6+ years of related hardware and software test experience
  • Experience with WebdriverIO, JavaScript, or Python
  • Experience with Zephyr Scale or other test management systems
  • Understanding of cloud architecture, microservices, and deployments
  • Solid understanding of APIs, virtualized services, and API testing strategies
  • Experience automating frontend web workflows with Selenium (JavaScript, Python)
  • Sets the execution plan of the team and/or project
  • Ability to research and present solutions to peers and QA management
  • Successful track record as a 'hands on' leader within a QA organization
Preferred
  • Experience with access control or video surveillance systems
  • Knowledgeable in video codecs, VoIP, or hardware validation
  • Understanding of AI or object detection processing
  • Wireshark knowledge for performance monitoring
  • Experience with mobile testing, Android Studio or Xcode mobile tool
