Technical Sales – Aerospace & Defense

We are seeking a high-impact Technical Sales Professional to drive our growth in the Aerospace & Defense (A&D) market.

The ideal candidate will bring at least 5 years of experience in aerospace sales, with a focus on avionics, defense, space, and OEM markets, coupled with a technical background and deep passion for the aerospace sector. A bachelor's degree, associate degree, or technical experience in the Armed Services is preferred. This role requires a results-driven professional with the ability to find and identify new opportunities, nurture relationships, and expand our presence in the market.

Position Overview

We are looking for a strategic sales professional who thrives on taking on big challenges and delivering results. The role requires someone who can identify, cultivate, and secure new business opportunities. An existing network within the DoD and defense OEMs is a significant advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Find and establish new business relationships while maintaining existing partnerships.
  • Drive lead generation efforts through networking, research, and attendance at industry events.
  • Deliver engaging sales presentations and develop competitive pricing proposals.
  • Oversee opportunity management, forecasting, and quoting processes.
  • Lead contract negotiations, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Collaborate with engineering and sales teams to craft tailored, impactful proposals.
  • Develop and manage strategic partnerships to accelerate business growth.
  • Drive the entire sales cycle from prospecting through to contract execution.
  • Regularly update leadership on proposal status, forecasts, and key metrics.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required. Pilot certification or relevant technical credentials a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years of B2B sales experience in Aerospace & Defense.
  • Strong ability to engage with engineering teams and technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with DoD contracts, SBIR/STTR programs, and small business incentives.
  • Demonstrated success securing business with major OEMs and government programs.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events.

Position Location:

  • Preference for on-site presence at our facility (relocation assistance provided).
  • Hybrid or remote arrangements will be considered for highly qualified candidates.
