In this role serving our IC customer, you will help guide national TSCM and Technical Security and Signals Countermeasures (TSSC) policy. Working across the USG in collaboration with TSCM/TSSC practitioners, you will identify, propose, and manage research projects to better equip USG defenses against technical collection. An ideal candidate for this role will have practical TSCM experience combined with deep technical knowledge in radio frequency, acoustic, electrical, electronic, digital, and optical theory and application. You may at times conduct TSCM inspections within the customers facilities. A successful candidate will have excellent project management skills. - Lead technical security working groups and coordinate with related technology acquisition programs and communities of interest to leverage ongoing government and intelligence community investments
- Establish working relationships with vendors to ensure alignment of current and future government requirements and emerging capabilities
- Provide independent reviews, summaries, assessments, and potential mitigation reports of technical threats to US SCIFs (Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities) such as acoustic vulnerabilities, RF Flooding attacks, power, and advances materials for windows
- Respond to requests for information on potential technical security vulnerabilities
- Provide technical oversight to security research activities in fields of electrical, acoustical, optical, and radio frequency
Required Skills:
- Active TS/SCI with CI Poly
- BA/BS +7 years of experience, additional experience is accepted in lieu of degree.
- 5+ years of technical security experience in a specialized field (acoustics, magnetics, RF)
- Strong technical background with extensive experience deploying, managing, and maintaining security tools
- Demonstrated experience in managing and mentoring other engineers and staff
Desired Skills:
- Overseas experience working with US Embassies/Consulates
- Knowledge of Overseas Policy Review Board (OSPB), DODI 5240.06 Counterintelligence Awareness and Reporting (CIAR)
- TSCM Certified
- TEMPEST certified technician
- Experience in conducting Technical Surveillance Countermeasures (TSCM) surveys
- Experience working with research and development projects in general engineering fields
- Understanding of red/black power isolation and grounding requirements
- Knowledge of security requirements in the DOS FAM/FAH
- Technical Security Countermeasures (TSCM) experience with US Government certification is highly desired
- In-field experience with TEMPEST, including executing TEMPEST test methods and signal analysis, and familiarity with TEMPEST/TSCM equipment (e.g., spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes)
- Knowledge of wireless, cellphone, Bluetooth technology, electronics, and ICD 705
