Candidate living in Miami, FL preferred, travel throughout FL area up to 50-75% of the time
Schedule: Mon-Fri, on call on weekends, will accommodate weekly schedule if called in
Job Summary:
The Technical Security Specialist will support Trulieve's best in class security through analysis, customer service, and support to each operational/support function and locations within their scope. The Technical Security Specialist is responsible for intelligence gathering and engineering process gathering. This role will research, prepare, and analyze information needed to be prepared and a document created. The Technical Security Specialist identifies, detects, and responds to information stemming from security-related incidents. This position communicates current threat(s) and potential attack trends based on the threat and security posture of the Security Program. The Technical Security Specialist will assume responsibility for all other implied tasks as needed to deliver the implied result.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists as technical expert on all security threats posed to operations and makes recommendations on security mitigation devices, systems and procedures
- Assists with the design, drawing and submission of required security related diagrams.
- Assists with collection of intelligence, operations, and the communication of time sensitive security tactics for strategic executive management.
- Assists SOC leadership with compliance for all applicable laws, regulations, industry standards, corporate policies, guidelines and procedures.
- Promotes an environment of professionalism, compliance, and continuous improvement, to meet the Corporation's operational goals and objectives.
- Additional responsibilities include providing feedback, accepting critiques, and recommendations as it pertains to documenting incident reports and maintaining the highest standards as it pertains to executing high liability communication plans.
- Assists with preparation of compliance reports to support the SOC's audit process, and the SOC's performance metrics for the overall security posture from an operation to business leader perspective.
- Assists with responses to communicate company asset loss, facility response, damage, theft, etc, and mitigates responses as needed. This is accomplished through specific communication, organized partnerships, operational planning, management security, physical security and proven operational security which is driven from the National Security Integration Manager.
- Assists with formulating reports and conducts training as directed
- Assists other security staff across the state to ensure they are aware of outcomes we can facilitate through maintenance, physical security, training, and training exercises
- Assists to provide direction, assistance, and leadership to achieve desired results
- Maintains an open line of communication and partnership with Corporate/Operations Management throughout the region and nation
- Maintains logs and other written documents that can be audited to evaluate the performance of SOC, security team members, contracts, and established SOPs
- Communicates and trains employees on the security workforce and emergency plans
- Coordinates time sensitive needs as directed for the Regional Security Director of Security
- Monitors and reports on risk to the Security Leadership Team and our employees
Qualifications:
- 1 or more years of analytical work experience
- 1 or more years inside of a Security Operations environment
- Well versed in Microsoft Office suite products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and diagraming software such as Bluebeam Revu, Visio, Adobe or similar.
- Proven experience with Security, operations, agile project management, and leadership philosophies
- Ability to build consensus and relationships among managers, partners, and employees
- Experience collaborating with a diverse group of technological oriented members
- Must be results oriented, communication, conflict management, people management, reporting, critical thinking, and problem solving, and planning and organization skills
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field; equivalent experience in security
- Proven ability to execute processes with all operations, maintenance, and functions of the Security Policy, within the environment
- Awareness of Cyber Security and Network is a must
