A Day in the Life of a Technical Service Engineer

As a Technical Service Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of providing technical support to customers across North America. You'll work closely with clients to troubleshoot issues, provide solutions, and ensure the proper implementation of their advanced drive systems in products like height-adjustable desks, seating, and medical applications. Your expertise will make a difference in both customer satisfaction and product quality, helping to maintain strong relationships with key accounts.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide on-site technical service and troubleshooting for customers in North America (USA, Canada, Mexico).
  • Conduct business trips to client locations for technical assistance and support.
  • Collaborate with customer R&D teams to deliver product specifications and recommendations.
  • Assist in setting up showrooms and providing technical support at trade shows and conventions.
  • Lead customer complaint investigations and resolve technical issues with product recommendations.
  • Attend technical training sessions in the USA, China, and possibly Vietnam.
  • Deliver technical training to clients and internal teams.
  • Travel domestically, with occasional international travel required.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in the furniture industry, with a focus on technical or quality services.
  • Strong understanding of recliner mechanisms, electronics, and product accessories.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage at all levels.
  • A global mindset, able to interact effectively with both North American clients and the international DOT team.
  • Ability to travel frequently within North America and internationally when needed.
  • On-site position based in Shannon, MS.
