Stratosphere Quality is seeking a skilled CMM Programmer for an 8-week contract project in Seymour, IN. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Mitutoyo CMM MCOSMOS software, demonstrating strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. This role requires a professional who can efficiently set up, program, and operate CMM machines to ensure accurate measurements and quality control.

Pay rate: $26-$31ph

Essential Job Function: Job Duties:

• Operate and Program CMM Machines: Load, unload, and operate CMM machines using software dedicated to customer setup.
• CMM Setup and Calibration: Set up and calibrate CMM equipment to ensure accurate measurements.
• Measurement and Analysis: Perform precise measurements, develop measurement programs, and analyze results.
• Reporting: Generate comprehensive records and reports based on measurement results.
• Quality Control: Ensure that all measurements meet the required specifications and quality standards.

Qualifications: Job Skills:

• CMM Knowledge: Proficiency in operating and programming Mitutoyo CMM machines, specifically using MCOSMOS software.
• Blueprint and Gauging: Strong understanding of blueprints, general gauging, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Metrology Expertise: Solid background in metrology and mechanical aptitude.
• Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer skills.
• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.
• Problem Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze and resolve issues effectively.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with team members and produce clear reports.
