Job Responsibilities Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the Technical Services Manager is responsible for leading and managing the College's Information Technology Infrastructure Services and Client Support Services teams within the Office of Information Technology to ensure the College's infrastructure and computing environments are reliable, effective, and secure. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead, manage, and supervise the organization, operation, and development of the Information Technology (IT) Infrastructure Services and Client Support Services teams.
  • Ensure technical staff provide support and maintenance of the College's infrastructure and computing technology environments.
  • Lead IT projects, ensuring goals and deadlines are met. Hold staff accountable for goals and objectives as well as day-to-day operations.
  • Monitor network and server operations for performance and security to ensure availability, reliability, and security.
  • Collaborate with management in making short and long-term decisions regarding information technology procurement, adoption, and deployment.
  • Manage vendor relationships to ensure the College receives the best value for technical purchases and investments as it relates to the IT infrastructure and computing resources.
  • Develop and ensure compliance with information technology policies and procedures consistent with state and federal requirements and industry best practices. Participates in campus activities, serves on College committees, and performs other duties as assigned to support the mission and goals of the Office of Information Technology and the College.
Minimum and Additional Requirements A bachelor's degree in communications, business administration, computer science (information technology), mathematics, statistics, management information science, or a related field and experience in telecommunications, data processing, and/or information technology. Relevant experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis.
