Job Description:

Musco Sports Lighting is hiring a Technical Specialist to support our internal team and external customers. A successful candidate will be capable of using knowledge of controls and electrical components to assist in conducting root cause analyses to identify and report any product performance issues.

What you will do as a Technical Specialist:

Offer frontline telephone support to both internal and external customers, addressing warranty and non-warranty related product inquiries and issues from recreational ballfields to professional venues across all old and new product lines to include Fixtures-all HID and LED, all ECEs-with and without communication, along with driver configurations for the specific LED fixture, Controls cabinets wiring, configurations, and components -Retro 1 and 2, CMC 1,2,3, MCC, RCC, Apollo, and wiring of pushbuttons-(ON, ON/OFF, with a strobe), DORB, remote switch box(RSB), time-delay on and off, and ALIC. Focus on Show-Light related controls related packages.

Provide remote assistance to customers in troubleshooting voltage-related issues, spanning from 24Vac to 480Vac and 5Vdc-1000Vdc.

Resolve communication-related concerns efficiently over the phone with external customers, encompassing Power-line communication, 485 Wireless, fiber, cellular, and Ethernet.

Collaborate closely with various departments including Engineering, Project Management, Field Technicians, Research and Development (R&D), Sales, and internal services team to uphold exceptional standards of customer service with minimal supervision.

Conduct thorough root cause analyses to identify and report product performance issues to management and the Research and Development (R&D) team.

What you will need to be successful:

Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.

Advance knowledge of electronic systems and/or communications, with proficiency in three or more of the following areas: cellular, Ethernet, fiber, wireless, and networking.

Advance knowledge of single-phase and three-phase electrical power as well as DC electrical applications.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Knowledge of National Electrical Code and Standards a plus.

Bilingual Spanish/English preferred, to support our Latin America markets
