Our client is globally recognized as one of the leading suppliers of high-quality inspection, leveling, controlling and calibration equipment. They are leaning on military Veteran talent for this and other roles as they are aggressively expanding the company.As a technical support specialist, you will interact remotely with our customers, field service, and sales teams in resolving challenging technical issues and providing timely and effective solutions primarily through phone, desktop, and email.Responsibilities:- Perform technical support by phone, email and through TeamViewer sessions with customers, field, service, and sales representatives.- Diagnose problems in the application of measurement equipment and develop solutions for optimizations in service response, equipment uptime, performance, and reliability.- Utilize NetSuite Field Service Module to log calls, initiate service orders and inform service manager of all serious customer complaints and escalations.- Become a subject matter expert (SME) on measurement equipment and software and contribute to the knowledge base development and expansion of teams.- Participate in product, service and any other training as required by management.- Potential for travel up to 10% to customer sites to assist with installation, repairs, and trade shows.Other duties as assigned by management.Skills that will make candidates successful:- Sound knowledge of electrical and/or mechanical systems.- Able to interface effectively both internally and externally at all levels of an organization. This is a customer service role. Excellent communication and people skills are a must.- Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.- Self-motivated and the ability to work with minimal supervision.The ideal Candidate has experience teaching or coaching, with the ability to train small groups on complex topics with patience and professionalism.Training: No prior specific equipment experience is required. Over the course of about the first year, you will be trained to be an expert on all equipment that the company provides and supports for its customers.Work for a global company with competitive pay, and a team-first attitude!
