About the Position:

PressurePro is hiring a full time Technical Support Specialist to our team. This customer-facing individual is responsible for supporting complex deployments at customer sites, supporting and troubleshooting cloud-based tire performance monitoring systems. The individual is also responsible for installing tire performance monitoring systems on customer equipment, including large trucks and buses, and heavy equipment of all types. Sometimes the installations are part of a larger sales campaign, and other times they are for vehicle fleets where we have made significant sales. As you build knowledge of our system, we will also ask you to train our customer's maintenance technicians to install and maintain our systems.

An ideal candidate would have experience working in a technical capacity with customers who operate vehicles or machinery, with some understanding of the customers' operations. Basic electrical and computer skills are essential. Curiosity and the ability to learn and adapt on one's own initiative is essential.

Required Skills:

- Basic electrical skills: stripping, splicing and connecting wires

- Troubleshooting, diagnosing and fixing low-voltage circuits

- Vehicle electronics installation and diagnostics

- Reading and following electrical wiring schematics/pinouts

- Ability to train others with similar skills, (i.e. customer mechanics or technician), both in-person and remote, in individual and group settings.

- Computer skills, including using computers to manage and troubleshoot equipment

- Microsoft Office and basic Windows computer skills

- Soldering and connecting wires

- Experience working with tools such as:

Multimeter

Drill

Screwdriver

Electrical connectors and crimpers

Bonus Skills:

- Class 7-8 Trucking (CAN/J1939) experience; Quarry/Mining equipment experience

- Computer Terminal Emulator (i.e. Docklight, Hyperterm, RealTerm)

  • Phone support for electronic or computer systems

Duties:

- Provide technical support for customers, and lead the resolution of customer issues

- Remote technical training, and support of systems in the field

- Travel to support customer installations, training and maintenance. Most travel is domestic.

- Technical representation during sales calls

- Lead on simple technical duties in-house as needed (flashing of product, revision of cables)

o Quality Assurance Inspections

- Updating our documentation and training material

- Provide individual and customer feedback about our products to our product development team
