SUMMARY:The Technical Support Specialist is responsible for providing support to end users on a variety of issues. Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems. Respond to telephone calls, email, and personnel requests for technical support. Documents, tracks, and monitors the problem to ensure a timely resolution. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.EMPLOYMENT INFORMATION:
  • Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday 12:00pm - 8:30pm

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems and 0-2 years related experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft operating systems and Office Suite of applications is preferred.
  • Reasonable work or personal experience with computer related hardware or software.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
  • Valid Driver's License required; must meet company insurability standards
ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Apply knowledge in the maintenance and support of computer hardware, operating systems, and related software applications.
  • Installs and supports all computer hardware, software, and peripheral equipment.
  • Monitors the use of information system related equipment to verify that it is in accordance with the Policies and Procedures for Computer Use manual of the organization.
  • Attend department meetings.
  • Provide accurate and timely information of outstanding tasks and/or projects in the Task System.
  • Provides daily log report of internal tasks (day-to-day support issues) accomplished to supervisor.
  • Provide monthly status report of tasks and/or projects accomplished to supervisor.
  • Participation in extended hour's coverage and pager/cell phone rotation for Emergency Technical Support
  • Maintain a professional appearance.
  • Adhere to and promote all existing health and safety policies in the workplace to reinforce the Hunter culture of a safe work environment
