Job Title:Technical TrainerDepartment:ApplicationsFLSA Status:Non-ExemptSummaryUnder the guidance of the Training Manager, the Technical Trainer will conduct internal and/or external training courses for both customers, BLM GROUP USA team members, and provide direct support to the Applications Department as required by management. Essential FunctionsThe duties listed below are the specific duties and tasks that someone in this position must accomplish. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment to the level and/or class of this position.•Conducts training courses for both customers and BLM personnel on the operation and maintenance of Tube& Wire Forming systems; the use of the entire BLM Elements Software suite for programming parts and managing production; as well as other important topic areas as required. •Assists in the development and improvement of training programs, including outlines, guides, procedures, and other resources. •Supports testing of new machine and software features, options, settings, technology, and versions for incorporation into training and applications operations. •Help develop documentation for distribution to customers and BLM personnel to improve their understanding and proper use of BLM products. •Travel up to 75% as needed, both domestically & internationally. •Supports customers by providing technical counsel and solutions to specific technical issues/Applications Tickets. •Understands technical issues to the point of being able to make recommendations and/or refer the matter to a subject expert. •Maintains a positive rapport and business relationship with customers by providing outstanding customer service.•Other duties as assigned by management.Equipment, Machinery, Tools, and Vehicles Used•General office equipment, including computers, printers, fax machines and telephones.•Basic hand, maintenance, and electrical diagnostic tools•Full suite of BLM productsPhysical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that an employee must be able to accomplish to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. The incumbent works primarily in an office environment or manufacturing facility where the noise level could be moderate to loud.The position requires up to 75% travel, both domestically and internationally as required by management.Reporting RelationshipsThis position reports to the Training ManagerSupervisory ResponsibilityN/AQualifications•High School diploma required.Associate degree in a technical discipline and/or equivalent technical military training preferred.•At least three (3) years of manufacturing experience in the areas of machine setup, maintenance, and parts programming.•At least two (2) years of Computer Aided Design experience (SolidWorks, SolidEdge, Inventor or similar programs) preferred.•At least three (3) years of experience in Tube Bending, Wire Bending, and/or End Forming processes preferred.•Experience with or understanding of GD&T preferred.Licensing/CertificationsValid Driver's License with no more than two (2) points on a driving record within a three (3) year periodKnowledge, Skills, and other Abilities•Proficient with CAD/CAM programming •Ability to diagnosis and resolve technical issues quickly and efficiently •Mechanical aptitude •Excellent verbal and written communication skills •Excellent organizational skills•Must be able to work effectively with minimal supervision •Must have exceptional time management skills •Able to effectively work with all levels of team members and all types of customer personalities •Proficient in Windows OS and Microsoft Office/Suite•Highly organized•Fluent in Italian and/or Spanish preferred, but not necessary We are an Equal Employment Opportunity ( EEO ) Employer.If you need assistance or an accommodation with completing the application, you may contact us at (248) ###-####.
