The Technical Training Developer is a member of the Enterprise Compliance Design team.
This position leads the design and creation of engaging learning experiences for enterprise-wide compliance training. The ideal candidate will translate complex regulatory knowledge to clear learning outcomes and produce simple and effective solutions that require skillful application of adult learning theory and rapid design methods. The role involves developing e-learning modules, providing graphic design support, and creating additional learning resources to enhance the learning experience for our legally required learning courses.
The Technical Training Developer works closely with business partners, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders across the organizational to develop the strategy for courses and well as ensure the content is accurate, relevant, and aligned with organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Consultation:
Directs or performs the needs analysis, design, development, and implementation of training materials, programs and interventions.
Works with business partners and subject matter experts to gather and validate content.
Design and Development:
Creates, updates, and maintains enterprise compliance learning solutions, and all accompanying documentation and analytics, at all phases of their lifecycle.
Develops interactive and engaging e-learning modules using authoring tools such as Articulate 360 Suite of authoring tools (i.e., Storyline, Rise, etc.).
Supplements eLearning modules with multimedia assets using tools such as Camtasia, Premiere Pro, Vyond, Photoshop, and similar.
Ensures all learning materials are accessible (i.e., WCAG 2.1 Level A) and comply with SCORM publishing standards.
Creates visually appealing designs in line with brand guidelines for a variety of media formats including online assets, business presentations, and print materials.
Develops instructional materials, including course outlines, lesson plans, and assessments.
Applies advanced adult learning theories to design and develop practical, application-based learning.
Builds wireframes and uses rapid prototyping to emulate the end-to-end learning experience.
Develops visual and interactive components to create a consistent experience across a variety of learning topics.
Delivers leading-edge solutions. Partners with the Enterprise Learning Enablement team to explore new technologies that drive the learning agenda forward.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both visual, oral and written form, including the ability to deliver engaging presentations to all audiences, including business leaders.
Evaluation and Improvement:
Evaluates the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics.
Continuously improves learning based on learner feedback and technological advancements.
Project Management:
Manages small to medium scale projects simultaneously and documents the progress of those projects, ensuring on-time delivery of the Annual Required Training bundle.
Serves as the developer of the course as well as the project lead between subject matter experts.
Communicates project status and updates to project team members.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or master's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field.
At least 5 years of instructional design and / or knowledge management experience with all levels of the organization including executive and senior leaders.
At least 5 years instructional design experience with hands-on experience developing e-learning modules. (developing Compliance courses, a plus).
At least 1 year of project management experience (AGILE methodology a plus).
Self-directed, can make progress with limited information or direction and can be agile and flexible.
Must be detail oriented and have strong relationship building, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrate knowledge of human behavior, adult learning program delivery, organization development theory and practice as well as working knowledge of all facets of training assessment, design, delivery, implementation, and enforcement.
Demonstrated knowledge of eLearning authoring tools (Vyond, Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, and Articulate 360) and SCORM publishing standards.
Strong graphic design and layout skills using design software.
Proficiency with Vyond, Wellsaid, and multi-media editing software, such as Premier Pro, Camtasia, and similar.
Knowledge of HTML, Learning Management Systems (LMS), Learning Experience Platform (LXP), and Wrike project management software preferred.
Proficient with MS365 Office Suite, OneDrive, and Sharepoint.
If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 80,300 - 133,800 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
