Air Liquide Large Industries provides our customers with industrial gas and energy solutions that are vital to their own industrial production. We own and operate over 2,000 miles of industrial gas pipelines in the U.S. supplying mainly oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen and syngas in large quantities from multiple production sources to major customers in the chemicals, petrochemicals, refining and steel industries. Our pipeline operations and industrial gas production facilities are closely monitored 24/7 within our leading-edge operations control center located in Houston, Texas. Our operations control group monitors over 89,000 data points and assists with product supply and coordination. We are constantly optimizing our supply network to provide high reliability and energy efficiencies allowing Air Liquide to adjust supply needs more quickly and effectively enabling growth to our customers. How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW? Air Liquide Large Industries is seeking a versatile training leader with a vision for enhancing its technical training program to meet the current and future needs of the business. This role engages with senior leaders and operations across Air Liquide to design and develop strategic training initiatives that accelerate and ensure operations excellence and individual development goals.

  • Analyze business and audience needs, quantitative data, and intangible factors to ensure training programs, resources and curriculum meet company objectives.
  • Orchestrate creation of complex training or development programs using an iterative instructional design model in a dynamic and frequently changing environment.
  • Bring the latest Adult Learning practices to the technical training organization to create a more engaging and forward thinking training strategy, i.e. digital simulated learning experiences, virtual reality training.
  • Ensure quality and timely completion of development projects within accelerated time constraints.
  • Manage the hiring, staffing, scheduling and maintaining of a diverse and effective team
  • Communicate effectively with all organizational levels in writing, presentations, executive interactions, and team discussions to ensure training is effective and aligns with emerging business needs.
  • Create a motivating environment while directing the efforts of others in the achievement of strategic and operational objectives, including improving training and contributing to business metrics.
  • Direct operations and administration while ensuring effective use of budget and resources, within the parameters of company policies and processes.
  • Provide accurate advice to top leadership based on expertise in training and development research, learning and motivation theory, and new materials, methods, and techniques that ensure optimal level of training delivery.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to identify training needs and develop strategic programs while using influence and negotiation skills to manage non-reporting relationships for mutual benefit.
Are you a MATCH?
  • Bachelor's Degree in HR, Organizational Development, or Engineering or Business related field is required
  • 10+ years relevant work experience in Technical Training or Industrial Operations
  • 5+ years leadership experience.
  • Candidates must have valid employment authorization in the U.S. and must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future. This position is not open for non-immigrant visa sponsorship.
  • Record of success analyzing the long-term impact of new or anticipated strategies and decisions.
  • Proven ability to diagnose and resolve abstract and ambiguous problems.
  • Success leading rigorous process and service improvement programs to achieve performance and quality metrics.
  • Ability to lead teams in understanding the link between organization objectives and team member contributions while acting as an advisor to subordinate(s) to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems.
  • Proven success making final decisions on strategic matters and ensuring a team's effective achievement of objectives.
