Details: L.J. Gonzer Associates is looking for individuals to join our pool of qualified candidates for potential assignment as a Technical Writer.
- Create documentation for end users in the form of user manuals available through a page-specific help function and a variety of desk references and instructional materials.
- Create documentation for management and technical staff to use while developing new system functions or projects.
- Carry out electronic publishing of materials and updates to the Electronic Resource Library available to all staff.
- Compile reports and build and maintain templates for use within the client's application.
- Tools required include but are not limited to MS Office, Framemaker, Dreamweaver, the Adobe suite of Acrobat Pro etc. as well as some security scanning tools and Team Foundation Server for extracting release content for impact statements and announcements.
Job RequirementsDetails:
- 7 years of experience with electronic publishing tools such as Framemaker, Dreamweaver, Acrobat Pro.
- 5 years of experience developing systems documentation - user manuals, installation guides, computer operations and program maintenance manuals, backup, recovery, and restart procedures, etc. for a systems development project in a complex human services (Federal, state or Local Government) delivery system.
- 3 years of experience creating and managing Microsoft Word templates using Word's form fields and bookmarking features to pre-populate variable data and establish locked or over-writeable fields within the templates in direct conjunction with a Java Application.
- A Bachelor's degree.
