  • Summary/Objective:

    We are looking for a talented technical writer to help create and build out a modern documentation infrastructure. You will be a core part of the professional staff working closely with the digital products, engineering and product management teams to create resources that dont just document what the product does, but accelerates a person reading the document from not just a user but a power user. The way our products communicate is critical to Lippert and the tools you will build will create a powerful impact on implementing quality physical and digital products to our customer base.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with engineers and product managers to produce and maintain world-class documentation including User Guides
  • Research, develop and document technical design specifications
  • Collate content from various sources including subject matter experts
  • Product electronic in addition to hard copy materials
  • Manage updates and revisions to technical literature
  • Other tasks as deemed by your manager
  • Working Conditions:

  • Primarily working indoors, office environment.
  • May sit for several hours at a time.
  • Prolonged exposure to computer screens.
  • Repetitive use of hands to operate computers, printers, and copiers.
  • Qualifications:

  • Superior verbal and written communication skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Proficiency in Adobe Indesign
  • Learn complex concepts and communicate the information in a way that is engage and understood by multiple sets of users with different skills levels
  • Self-starter and engaging personality.
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Skilled at prioritization and multi-tasking
  • Supervisory Responsibility:

    This role does not have any supervisory responsibility upon hiring.

    Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

    While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The Team Member may have to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

    This is a full-time hourly position, and hours/days of work are decided by production schedules and your reporting manager.
