It takes a village come join ours!Job Overview:We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative Technical Writer to join our team to support documentation and training for the implementation of a new Warranty Service Management System (WSMS). This individual will be responsible for creating, editing, and managing comprehensive technical documentation of migration to Syncron Warranty Management System that will support both internal users and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will have experience in writing clear, user-friendly documentation for complex systems and will work closely with cross-functional teams including project managers, developers, and subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure that all documentation is accurate, consistent, and aligned with our business goals.Key Responsibilities:Documenting System Requirements & Processes:Collaborate with business analysts and technical teams to capture detailed functional requirements, process flows, and system specifications for the WSMS.Create User Manuals & Guides:Develop and maintain user manuals, quick reference guides, and troubleshooting documents for end-users and administrators. Ensure that documentation is clear, concise, and provides step-by-step instructions for users of varying technical proficiency.Produce Technical Specifications:Draft and revise technical documentation that outlines system architecture, database design, workflows, and other system-specific information, including APIs, integrations, and configuration details.Develop Training Materials:Create training materials such as e-learning modules, presentations, and hands-on lab exercises to assist with the training of internal teams and external customers on the new WSMS.Update and Maintain Documentation:Regularly review and update existing documentation to reflect system changes, version upgrades, or new feature implementations.User Feedback Integration:Work closely with end-users to gather feedback on system functionality and documentation usability, making necessary revisions to improve clarity and usability.Work with SMEs and Stakeholders:Act as a liaison between technical teams, project managers, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment of documentation with business requirements, product goals, and end-user needs.Document Technical Workflows and Support Procedures:Write and update troubleshooting guides, FAQs, and support procedures to assist customer support teams in resolving user issues efficiently.Version Control & Compliance:Ensure that all documentation is version-controlled and compliant with internal standards, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.Continuous Improvement:Identify opportunities to improve the documentation process, make recommendations, and implement best practices for system documentation.Required Qualifications:Experience:Prior experience working on warranty management systems, service management systems like Syncron, or other enterprise software implementations preferred.Education:Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, English, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience.Skills:Proficiency in documentation tools such as Microsoft Word, Google Docs, Confluence, MadCap Flare, or similar platforms.Familiarity with tools for version control (e.g., Git) and project management (e.g., JIRA, Trello) is a plusExcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to break down complex technical content for a non-technical audience.Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.Experience creating both end-user documentation and technical documentation for system administrators.Understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC) and the ability to document during all phases of a project from design to post-implementation.Attention to Detail:High level of accuracy and attention to detail, ensuring that all content is consistent and precise.Collaboration & Communication:Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with developers, business stakeholders, and end-users.You can Direct apply here: respond with your updated resume, contact information
