JOB SUMMARY
Provides technical and administrative related services to staff. Maintains files, tracks timelines, performs data entry, Medical Assistance billing, orders supply and support in management of fiscal task, such as payroll, budget, and grant management. Position serves as a point of contact for all staff, including communication between parents, staff, and community agencies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
* Manages students transition through programs by ensuring all information is up to date and accurate, files are in proper order and transferred to the appropriate school.
* Collaborates with professional staff to provide administrative support to staff in assigned office.
* Maintains databases and applications as required.
* Reviews documentation related to compliance and office procedure timelines, provides feedback and recommendations.
* Reviews and tracks budget orders, expenditures, and grants.
* Maintains student files and materials of instruction in an orderly manner.
* Responds to telephone inquiries from the public and schools, acting as a point of contact for staff, parents, and community agencies.
* Reviews, monitors, and completes Medical Assistance billing.
* Performs data entry, tracks student services and compiles monthly reports.
* Performs other related duties as assigned within the same classification or lower.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education
* Associate's Degree in related field of education from a regionally accredited college or university required;
* Or an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities deemed sufficient to prepare the employee to successfully perform the duties of the position.
Experience
* Three (3) years general office experience required;
* Two (2) years direct experience in special education preferred;
* Or an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities deemed sufficient to prepare the employee to successfully perform the duties of the position.

* Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in written form with coworkers, administrators, parents, and the general public.

* Demonstrated understanding and ability to create precise and accurate records, databases, and reports.
* Ability to use technology (laptops, desktops, specialized assessment, and data analysis software).
* Demonstrated proficiency with business software (e.g. Video/Web Conferencing, Microsoft Office Suite-Word, Excel, Outlook and/or PowerPoint preferred). For new permanent secretarial/clerical/technician hires, a minimum score on a pre-employment assessment is required.
