Technician Maintenance General FULL-TIME

$21.50/hr

Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on production equipment and systems (e.g., mechanical, electrical). Evaluates and recommends equipment improvements to improve efficiency, capability and yield.

- Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on production equipment and systems - Adjust or replace worn or defective mechanisms and parts and reassemble repaired systems - Inspect maintenance systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes - Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment problems - Repair or replace defective equipment, components, or wiring - Prepares technical reports to document preventative maintenance issues - Performs equipment failure analyses (including preventive and unscheduled maintenance) - Maintains and secures a spare parts inventory, recommends purchasing of maintenance equipment and supplies as required to improve processes and efficiencies - Evaluates and recommends equipment improvements to improve efficiency, capability and yield - Observe and test system operation, using gauges and instruments - Adjust or replace worn or defective mechanisms and parts and reassemble repaired systems - Assists higher-level technicians - Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

HS Diploma, GED or equivalentTechnical certification in Industrial Maintenance or other related fieldStrong mechanical troubleshooting and problem resolution skillsBilingual fluency in English and Spanish reading, writing & speakingAbility to work overnight shifts, weekends, holidays, 1st, 2nd and/or 3rd shiftsAbility to work in temperature conditions between 35 and 95 degrees Fahrenheit; may occasionally exceed 95 degrees Fahrenheit About Sigma Alimentos
