ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Performs routine and systematic cleaning and preventative maintenance of all equipment used in Surveillance and Security operations (records, video monitors, cameras, pan/tilt motions and gears, system processor and controls, and system peripheral equipment). under the guidance of the Lead Surveillance Technician.
  • Support the Surveillance Manager in the fundamental installation, maintenance and repair of the equipment used by the surveillance department.
  • Orders and stocks necessary cleaning supplies and spare parts for existing equipment.
  • Assists in the planning, placement and installation of all cameras and support equipment in new or reconfigured casino/security areas.
  • Responds to emergency service calls.
  • Maintains confidential information on all Surveillance and Security personnel, projects and programs.
  • Performs related tasks as required by the Manager of Surveillance.
  • Observe and report on all areas under Surveillance to ensure compliance with all state regulations and in-house gaming policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate abilities to meet performance expectations with communication, initiative and problem solving.
  • Adhere to all Corporate and local policies, procedures, and operating guidelines.
  • Uses video systems and associated software to continuously observe all gaming and gaming-related areas for any deviations, abnormality or unusual activity as defined by law, regulation and in-house policies and procedures.
  • Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs.
  • SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES None.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEOne or more years of relevant experience in technical surveillance operations,including camera installation, plus maintenance of video recording system. Prior law enforcement investigative experience is desirable.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSMust obtain and maintain the applicable regional Gaming card(s) and/or License(s), if any.LANGUAGE SKILLSMust be able to effectively communicate in English. Must be able to read and write simple lists, interoffice memorandums, and business correspondence.MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.COMPUTER SKILLSMust be able to use Microsoft Office products or any other Information Tech platform associated with the job duties.   • 2 years of Casino-Resort Surveillance Systems experience OR 1 year of Information Technology/IT experience.
  • 1 year of any customer service-based experience.
  • Intermediate-Level experience in large-scale Cisco networks preferred.
  • Basic-Level experience in virtualization technologies such as VMWare preferred.
  • Advance-Level experience in troubleshooting and resolving system and device issues.
  • Ability to understand the Nevada Gaming Board (GCB) Surveillance Standards and Minimum Internal Controls (MICS).
  • Ability to read, interpret, and write system drawings, schematics, and diagrams.
  • Exceptional customer service focus including attention to producing quality results.
  • Flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekend hours as business needs dictate.
  • Word, Access, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge and understanding of gaming control regulations and standards.
  • Ability to handle priority and sensitive information in a confidential manner.
  • Must possess excellent observation and communication skills.
