In this important role, you will provide support to individuals facing mental health challenges across various healthcare facilities. As a traveling MHT, you will have the opportunity to make a difference in patients' lives while gaining valuable experience in diverse clinical settings.Key ResponsibilitiesPatient Care: Assist in the direct care of patients, providing support and companionship to those experiencing mental health issues and promoting a safe and therapeutic environment.Observation and Reporting: Monitor patients' behaviors and emotional status, documenting observations and reporting any significant changes to the healthcare team.Therapeutic Activities: Facilitate and participate in therapeutic activities and group sessions, promoting engagement and encouraging positive coping strategies.Safety Protocols: Implement safety and crisis intervention protocols as necessary to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.Collaboration: Work closely with psychiatrists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient interactions, progress, and treatment plans in compliance with facility policies.Crisis Intervention: Provide support during crisis situations, utilizing de-escalation techniques and ensuring appropriate interventions are implemented.QualificationsEducation: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a mental health technician training program or relevant coursework is preferred.Certification: Certification as a Mental Health Technician or in a related field is preferred but not required.Experience: Previous experience in a mental health or behavioral health setting is preferred; experience in crisis intervention is a plus.Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and work effectively within a team.Flexibility: Willingness to travel and adapt to different healthcare environments and patient populations.9454378EXPPLATJob RequirementsRequired for Onboarding
