The production technician provides essential support to the course creation process for Learning, whose on-line courses reach millions of members each year, , Production and Editorial Production. This role is part of a global team which provides break/fix response and fulfills requests for instructions and editors in a mixed Macintosh and Windows environment.
General Responsibilities
Manage access and software requests, perform desk-side troubleshooting, imaging, scheduling and set ups for recording and post production operations.
Participate in projects, manage hardware and software inventory, contribute to the team knowledge base and assist global customers in a follow-the-sun model.
Responsibilities Recording Operations
Work with producers and instructors to solve urgent technical issues during recording.
Custom-configure booth equipment to meet course requirements.
Manage temporary account creation and deletion for course recordings.
Responsibilities Post Production Operations
Deploy and maintain post-production endpoints (Macs and PCs).
Act as contact for troubleshooting and technical diagnosis.
Collaborate with the main Helpdesk to hand off basic computer support requests.
Proactively report trends and incidents affecting multiple users.
Key Qualifications:
1+ year in a , production or technical environment.
2+ years in a coordinator or operations role.
Knowledge of MacOS, Windows and networking.
Hardware and software troubleshooting skills.
Experience with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, other desktop software.
Attention to detail and excellent follow through.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience building trusted relationships with partners/stakeholders.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to communicate effectively about operational challenges.
Proven ability to prioritize and juggle multiple issues under pressure
