Title: Field Service Technician Location/Openings: Dallas, TX (1 opening - Aviation Division) Fort Lauderdale, FL (1 opening- Marine Division) Shift: Mostly standard day shift working hours Monday - Friday, dependent upon customer needs Compensation: $28-$30/hr. commensurate with experience + overtime + paid travel + company profit bonus. Position Description: The field service technician performs testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of high-powered frequency (50,60,400Hz) and power conversion (3-phase/single phase) equipment to the component level for defense, aerospace, and marine products. In this role you will troubleshoot, perform, suggest, and expedite service requests and duties to achieve superior customer satisfaction with a focus on safe operations. Key responsibilities include: Receive and/or return customer calls/emails regarding technical questions. Travel to customer sites & prepare for part delivery, corresponding with applicable department. Service (troubleshoot, start-up and repair) units in the field or factory. Train customer on unit safety and operation. Maintain complete records of service calls with both customers and internal teams. Maintain relationships with customers for service or modification. Maintain relationships with other departments for service issues. Requirements: Associate degree in electronics or equivalent technical experience gained through successful completion of an accredited trade school or military electronics-based school. Two years electrical experience in 3-phase power systems. Ability to read schematics for troubleshooting across all voltage levels and to the component level. Flexible and able to travel, sometimes on short notice. Good communication and customer service skills. Valid driver's license and US Passport. Documented US Citizenship or Legal Permanent Resident status. Travel: None Position Description: The Electronics Test Technician performs production testing of high voltage, high power switching power supplies and associated subassemblies. Key responsibilities include: Perform tests & record data on completed units & sub-assemblies according to test procedures. Ensure malfunctioning unit operation is documented and reported. Conduct board and component level troubleshooting using diagrams and schematics. Download software programs into components and assemblies using Windows based programs. Stamp, log, and document all assemblies submitted for testing. Assist Engineering in the design and construction of test fixtures and the associated procedures. Isolate production problems from engineering problems. Requirements: Candidates must have 3 years of recent digital/analog experience with an electronics degree from an accredited technical institute or equivalent military training. Read and interpret schematics and wire lists, test procedures and data sheets. Fully proficient with all standard test equipment - multimeters, oscilloscopes, meters, testers, imagers. Good troubleshooting & problem-solving with working knowledge of Windows. Documented US Citizenship or Legal Permanent Resident status.
