We have 31 courts across the state and process over 130,000 cases each year in support of Maine's almost 1.4 million residents.The Job:The State of Maine Judicial Branch is seeking an experienced individual with demonstrated competence and experience in developing software application training programs and delivering the training in a classroom-based and/or remote setting skills to join our team as a Technology Business Analyst and Trainer. This position involves supporting assigned applications that may include providing application user expertise, configuration and testing of automated workflows, quality assurance testing, end-user account and permissions management, resolution of assigned tier-2 support issues, requirements analysis, and delivery of end-user training. There is a very strong application training component with this position which will include training Judicial Officers and other court staff in a classroom-based or remote setting. Responsibilities:
- Resolve all assigned tier-2 application support issues in accordance with established priority timeframes. Communicate effectively with the public, judges, attorneys, and other agencies
- Performs quality assurance testing of Judicial Branch applications
- Serves as a liaison for Judicial Branch personnel and the Office of Information Technology (OIT)
- Participates in various User and Process Group sessions to include, but not limited to the following: Court Operations, Financial, Criminal Process and Family Division
- Works collaboratively with team members in the development and management of software release implementation/project schedules
- Conducts change impact analyses to assess the potential implications of changes and documents court business rules, functions and requirements
- Provides, prepares and delivers classroom and remote based training for desktop applications including Windows, Mac OS, E-mail, and Microsoft Office products and other assigned applications
- Assists the technical operations staff by providing training support during times of software and hardware upgrades and implementations
We're Looking For:
- Associates degree from an accredited university. Bachelor's degree is preferred. An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience necessary to successfully perform the essential functions of the work may be substituted for the degree requirement
- Experience with troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving identified software application issues
- Ability to quickly learn and understand MJB software applications and business practices and policies
- Ability to communicate complex business processes-converting them into technical system requirements and specifications-orally and in writing
- Ability to prepare and present detailed information to large groups of people
- Ability to work both independently and effectively in a team environment
- Demonstrated flexibility and aptitude in learning new technologies
- The position requires a willingness to travel extensively (including overnight travel) and work an irregular schedule
