Selectively initiate collaborative efforts for thoseProvide relevant insights for internal Product Line Plans and Business Technology StrategyRecommend initiation of new technical programsDay-to-Day Responsibilities:Engage with EO/IR system experts through direct interactions in technical conferences and customer visitsAuthor technical papers and promote Corning Advanced Optics - Aerospace & Defense capabilities in technical conferences/journalsSupport commercial group with key account engagements, product line strategy & roadmapsMonitor EO/IR and optical remote sensing system design patent publicationsRequired Education and Experience:PhD or master's degree in Optical Engineering, Optical Physics, or related discipline10 years of experience in EO/IR system designAbility to establish trust and cooperation with Defense Prime ContractorsStrong technical acumenStrong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical conceptsExecutive presence and presentation skillsAbility to obtain security clearanceUp to 30% travel requiredDesired Experience:Direct experience at defense prime contractorsThis position does not support immigration sponsorship.The range for this position is $141,789.00 - $194,960.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
