Job Description: Location: Pittsburgh, PA (Onsite 5 days/week) Company Overview: Prequel is seeking a talented Technology Manager for our client that is dedicated to providing cutting-edge solutions. They are continuing to expand their operations. As the Technology Manager , you will play a pivotal role in providing leadership and guidance to the systems and network team. This position requires a hands-on approach, as you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our technical support division while also actively participating in rolling up sleeves and helping out if needed. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Microsoft Windows Server and Client operating systems, as well as expertise in storage technologies. - Provide leadership and management of the Technical Support team.
- Manage assignments for the tech lead schedule.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and diagnose hardware problems in a timely and professional manner.
- Actively update, maintain, and monitor all aspects of computer networks.
- Install and configure computer systems, networking equipment, and applications.
- Respond to customer inquiries and assist staff in troubleshooting and resolving problems.
- Provide input during the development of new projects, products, and bids.
- Assist management in creating training materials pertaining to computer troubleshooting and usage.
- Work closely with Technical Support Specialists II and service and support teams.
- Document institutional technical knowledge and assist in the development of technical training curriculum for support staff.
- Maintain documentation of processes and procedures.
- Conduct annual employee performance reviews.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Success Factors/Job Competencies: Must have Lead/Supervisory/management experience.
- People management of 5+ years
- Functional knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server and Client operating systems.
- Knowledge in storage technologies such as RAID, NAS, SAN, SATA, SAS.
- Functional knowledge in networking knowledge including TCP/IP, DNS, WINS, DHCP.
