Technology Services Technician is a valuable member of our team, who provides administrative and executive support and has the ability to interface with all levels of management throughout the hospital. Install, repair, service, and PM hospital IT hardware and software in the UHMC Domain, PCs, printers, peripherals, servers, OS, and network applications. Qualified candidates will demonstrate superior patient care and possess outstanding communication skills while adhering to our high standard of excellence.
Duties of a Technology Services Technician may include the following but are not limited to: - Assess clinic and clients' technical requirements and needs for projects and go-live events.
- Diagnose issues with OS, security configurations, and hardware configurations.
- Works with fellow technicians, help desk personnel and end users as needed to resolve issues and tasks assigned.
- Participation in IT Projects and provides knowledge transfer and status updates to team and management.
- Provide updates to management and technical guidance to and documentation to coworkers.
- Provide insight and testing on new hardware and software that the organization may use in the future.
- Operating State Vehicles to support multiple locations/offices.
Qualifications Required Qualifications: Associate's degree in computer related field or, in lieu of a degree, at least 3 years of full time experience in IT support. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Detail oriented. Strong analytical and organizational skills. Clean valid NYS driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer related field. Project management experience. Previous experience working in a Health Care facility. Advanced IT Certifications such as MCITP, MCSA, and MCSE.Special Notes: Resume/CV should be included with the online application. - Successfully complete pre-employment physical examination and obtain medical clearance from Stony Brook Medicine's Employee Health Services*
- Complete electronic reference check with a minimum of three (3) professional references.
- Successfully complete a 4 panel drug screen*
- Meet Regulatory Requirements for pre employment screenings.
- Provide a copy of any required New York State license(s)/certificate(s).

Anticipated Pay Range: The salary range (or hiring range) for this position is $53,040 - $64,657 / year. The above salary range represents SBUH's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. The specific salary offer will be based on the candidate's validated years of comparable experience. Any efforts to inflate or misrepresent experience are grounds for disqualification from the application process or termination of employment if hired. Some positions offer annual supplemental pay such as:
- Location pay for UUP, CSEA & PEF full-time positions ($3400)
