POSITION
Technology Specialist - District (12 months)
SALARY
Salary commensurate with education and experience
JOB REQUIREMENTS
* General troubleshooting of hardware and software
* Deploys hardware and software throughout the district
* Support staff and students in their use of technology
* Responsible for the ongoing accuracy of student and school data, collaborating with the staff entering data
* Compiles and enters data into various computer programs
* Produces reports from various data systems
* Assists with the integration of technology into the curriculum
* In depth knowledge of network infrastructures
* Assumes other duties and responsibilities as required by the Director of Technology
QUALIFICATIONS
* BS Degree preferred; equivalent experience in an academic technology support position
* Must have demonstrated expertise in use of technology to support educational systems; experience in assisting staff members in integrating technology into the curriculum; experience with networks; software and hardware troubleshooting experience; the ability to diagnose and resolve technology problems as they apply to K-12 education
* Must have the capability to work with or to lead a team of colleagues; the ability to communicate effectively with staff and students
* Must have the ability to analyze and report on student data; and a working knowledge of most of the following: student management data systems (PowerSchool preferred); Excel spreadsheet functionality; state reporting (CT); and Google Apps for Education
