Position: Telecom Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer

Location: Arkansas, Little Rock or Jonesboro Arkansas AND Ridgeland, Mississippi (Onsite)

Shift: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm (first two weeks); rotating schedule after initial period

We are seeking a IP Technician for the NOC IP Support Team. This role serves as a subject matter expert in complex telecommunications networks, with responsibilities that include advanced network surveillance, troubleshooting network outages, and supporting processes. The candidate will mentor and train other technicians and work within various elements of the network, including:

• Backbone network, Cisco routers
• BGP, OSPF, MPLS
• Checkpoint firewalls
• A10 load balancers
• Palo Alto

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine remote surveillance and tier 1 maintenance for network nodes.
• Provide troubleshooting support for network and interface problems with transport vendors.
• Perform fault isolation, test network issues, and support technicians and engineers.
• Handle escalations and collaborate with transport, power, and telco vendors.
• Participate in large-scale outage recovery and disaster recovery efforts.
• Enroll in training to maintain current knowledge of systems and products.
• Support senior technicians and develop skills in troubleshooting and repair.

Minimum Requirements:

• 5+ years experience in a technical role.
• Intermediate understanding of TCP/IP concepts, router command structure, and data flow between endpoints.
• Familiarity with network topology for Enterprise or Service Provider networks.
• Experience supporting traffic flows like HTTP and VOIP.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Availability for shift work in a 24x7x365 environment, with quarterly shift rotations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• CCNA or CCNP certifications.
• CISSP or Security certifications (Checkpoint, A10).
• Hands-on experience with routers, switches (Cisco), firewalls (Checkpoint), load balancers (A10).
• Basic scripting knowledge (Bash/Python) and familiarity with Linux/Unix servers.
• Bachelors degree or 5+ year of experience may be considered.
