The primary purpose of this Program Coordinator I is to promote and provide administrative and help desk support to the statewide Telehealth Program. This position will provide support to health care staff from all NC DAC institution facilities regarding Telehealth scheduling and issues. This position must be able to communicate effectively with users of all levels. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Statewide Program Director. The employee performs a variety of administrative duties including devising and installing new work methods; troubleshooting issues, and adjusting schedules. This position supports field staff related to Telehealth through both an email and phone-based helpdesk. Extensive knowledge of computer software and programs is needed, including but not limited to programs of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, and Adobe Acrobat. Knowledge is also needed with Electronic Medical Records.
