STARTING RATE: $28.00/hr., ($28.00 - $33.00/hr., dependent upon experience)

SHIFT: Full-Time, Part-Time, Evenings

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Telemetry RN provides additional monitoring and communication functions by utilizing technology to assist with the assessment and evaluation of the residents in their care in this post-acute environment. The technology interpreted by the Telemetry RN includes telemetry monitoring, vital sign monitoring, non-invasive hemodynamic monitoring and as indicated, diagnostic tests such as laboratory and electrocardiogram (EKG). The Telemetry RN must work collaboratively with interdisciplinary team members to assist residents in reaching their goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for the direct care and/or supervision of duties performed by certified nursing assistants and to ensure the highest degree of quality of care is maintained at all times

REQUIREMENTS:

Telemetry Registered Nurse currently licensed in the State of New York who possesses an appropriate level of education, training and experience to fulfill all requirements/duties of the position

BCLS and ACLS Certified

Experience with ICU/CCU/ED or Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital, preferred

Able to conduct EKGs

Able to perform venipuncture

Able to initiate Intravenous therapy
