Responsibilities:
* May train new operators to ensure they understand protocols and procedures effectively.
* Perform system data entry tasks upon request to maintain accurate records and data management.
* Provide tailored service to various answering service clients, adhering to their specific protocols and needs.
* Process emergency codes or STAT pages swiftly to ensure urgent matters are addressed promptly.
* Initiate voice pages as needed to relay important information to relevant personnel.
* Offer Physician on Call information to individuals who request it, ensuring they receive accurate details.
* Use required phrasing consistently when answering telephone calls to maintain professionalism and clarity.
* Provide dialing instructions to patients when requested, while managing multiple lines and ensuring excellent customer service.
* Determine the caller's requirements, such as the desired extension or information needed, and efficiently transfer calls.
* Offer status updates on any pages currently in progress to the individual who requested the information.
Qualifications:
Required:
* High school graduate or equivalent
* 1 year of experience answering and processing calls through automated phone system OR 1 year of customer service experience
* Must be able to work all shifts, 7 days a week
* Ability to interpret procedure manuals (i.e., fire, trouble, disaster, etc.)
Preferred:
* Medical or Office experience
