Key Skills for Success: Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment Excellent teamwork and communication skills Ability to follow verbal instructions Exceptional customer service skills Summary:
    • Responsibility to maintain/operate telephone consoles for UMCPP; processing internal/external calls daily in a professional courteous manner within UMCPP's Safety and Quality standards. Will be the main resource for general and patient information calls, overhead paging, the link between hospital departments and outside community, center for codes, stats and emergency situations.
    Responsibilities:
    • Utilizes UA5200 system to send and receive calls on behalf of the healthcare system. Responds to medical and non-medical emergency codes, STATs, RRT, TDD, and overhead pages to support emergency code response. Monitor emergency alarm systems and notify appropriate department(s) of alarm status.
    Credentials: Education or Equivalent Experience:
    • High school diploma or equivalent required. Two years telephone console experience or UA5200 training preferred. Some computer and typing skills needed. Pleasant, professional speaking voice.

    • Two years telephone console experience or UA5200 training preferred.
