We are looking for committed Telephone Researchers to carry out structured telephone interviews with the public. The role is diverse and offers a wide range of variety.This is a Part-time role, 12 hours per week, working Monday to Thursday, 6pm to 9pm from our Headquarters at Enderby, Leicestershire. The role is office-based due to the nature of the work and therefore remote working cannot be offered.As a force, we are always looking at ways we can continuously improve, not just to prevent crime from happening in the first place but also to provide a service and a team that is fit for the future, dynamic and efficient; this role plays a key part in that, helping us to gather feedback from victims of crime and incidents to make ongoing improvements.What you'll be doing Working as part of a team, you will guide victims through a survey script, gathering clear and accurate information about the service they received. An excellent communicator, empathetic, patient and polite, you'll maintain a professional and courteous attitude at all times, as you probe for answers and gather feedback from participants.Experience of working with members of the public would be advantageous and proficient Microsoft Office skills, in particular Excel, is vital. If you have emotional resilience and can embody the force values then we can offer you the training you will need to be successful in this role, as well as ongoing support from a great team. The must haves To be educated to GCSE standard or equivalent in English Language and Maths to Grade C and/or to have 12 months work experience in a post using English and Maths to the above.To be able to maintain a sympathetic and empathetic approach to dealing with the public whilst treating people with dignity and respect at all times, remaining polite and courteous while communicating clearly.Must be flexible with regards to working hours as the post holder may be required to cover additional or different hours during periods when short-staffed or to accommodate interviewees requests for interview time.
