POSITION SUMMARY:Provides a variety of customer savings, checking, and credit account transactions in accordance with the Bank's procedures. Provides customer service such as sales of money orders and travelers checks.Essential Functions
- Responsible for comprehensive, prompt and efficient customer transactions.
- Receives checks and cash for deposit to accounts, verifies amounts, examines checks for proper endorsement and enters deposits into computer records.
- Receives mortgage, consumer loan and other payments, verifies amount due and enters payments into computer.
- Cashes checks for customers upon proper verification.
- Sell and redeem savings bonds
- Cross-sells Bank services such as safe deposit boxes, travelers checks, etc.
- Balances cash drawer at end of day and compares totals with computer totals.
- Balance ATM, traveler's checks, vault and branch
- Encode and scan checks, TT&L, savings bonds
- Scan all teller transactions
- Prepare Fed cash letter
- Verify official checks and money orders to balance branch
- Open savings accounts, Christmas clubs and checking accounts.
- Ensure teller station is properly stocked with forms, supplies, etc.
- Completion of all mandatory training

This position requires strong customer service skills and aptitude along with the desire to serve our customers needs in an outstanding fashion. This position requires strong math skills and the logical application of these skills.
