Overview of Position:
The Freelance Creative Copywriter works with the Creative Directors to develop copy that communicates the brand values and product offerings of Uniqlo and its associated brands. Projects include developing copy for seasonal campaigns, fashion collaborations, new store launches and special projects that are used in stores, for PR, in magazines and across digital and social channels.
Essential Functions:
Writes copy that is imaginative, emotive, and brings apparel to life in fresh ways.
Ensures distinctive brand copy has been consistently developed across an expanding number of products, sub-brands and international markets.
Maintains UNIQLO's highest standards by developing compelling, engaging copy in compliance with brand voice and guidelines.
Understands the message the company is seeking to express and translates this into content.
Interprets creative possibilities within project briefs and turns points from briefs into persuasive copy concepts.
Continually raises the bar on creativity, and drives the creation of original concepts that result in effective campaigns.
Maintains a clear and consistent brand voice.
Presents copy concepts and underlying strategic thinking to business leaders.
Creates, edits and proofreads copy to ensure accurate spelling, grammar, formatting, clarity and legal compliance.
Works with merchandising, marketing and design teams to create cohesive product marketing materials.
Qualifications:
Hourly rate: $65 - $85 per hour
