Job DescriptionJob Overview The Project Manager oversees and coordinates the project management and administrative functions of the Preaching Institute (PI) for the Wheaton College Billy Graham Center. This role reports to the Director of Operations for the Church Evangelism and Preaching Institutes. We are seeking a part-time project manager (15-20 hours per week with growth potential) to manage logistics, planning, coordination, communications, and deliverables for the Preaching Institute. Responsibilities Project Management:
In partnership with the Operations Director, develop and manage detailed project plans for the recruitment and onboarding of pastors and coaches, and ensuring timely execution of all PI events. Schedule and track curriculum deliverables, overseeing the progress of the curriculum point person and the editor. Manage the meetings, communication and coordination process of the core leadership team, the executive council, and the advisory group. Track all project deliverables and timelines, ensuring successful completion. Evaluate project outcomes and recommend improvements to processes and systems. Cohort, Curriculum, and Event Logistics: Collaborate with the Operations Director to manage the logistics for cohorts, conferences, and retreats. Maintain Canvas groups for cohorts, creating new groups as needed and managing related communication. Oversee fee tracking, payment collection, and reporting for participants. Provide logistical support for meetings and following up on action items. Manage the development, compilation, and editing of training materials for coaches and pastors. Office Administration: Manage administrative tasks, such as honorarium processing, reimbursement requests, and P-card transactions. Provide technical support for software applications like Zoom, Canvas, and Canva, ensuring they are effectively used to support the Institute's initiatives. Proofread and copy-edit curriculum and other project-related documents. Meet regularly with the Operations Director and the Acting Director to align on priorities and project progress. Qualifications and Competencies Strong project management skills, with a bias towards action and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Experience in managing and organizing events, logistics, and people. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in project management tools and software such as Microsoft Office, Zoom, Canvas, Canva, or similar platforms. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong team player Demonstrated competency in working cross culturally in diverse cultural environments, including predominately white, multi-ethnic, and predominately African American Physical Requirements The employee is regularly required to sit, talk, or hear; frequently required to use repetitive hand motion, handle or feel, and to stand, walk, reach, bend or lift up to 10 pounds.
