PHYSICAL THERAPYPhysical therapists evaluate posture, gait, balance, coordination and strength to develop a treatment plan with the goal of helping the patient regain mobility and independence. After identifying areas of strength and weakness, a physical therapist may work to improve a patient's independence with tasks such as getting up from a chair or climbing stairs.Leads, guides and directs the delivery of physical therapy services in the facility in accordance with local, state and federal regulations, standards and established facility policies and procedures to provide appropriate care and services to residents.The Physical Therapist must possess:
- A valid, unrestricted license in his/her therapy discipline in the state.
- Meet educational requirements of his/her licensure requirements.
- Valid driver's license in the state of employment.
- Knowledgeable of skilled nursing home regulations, procedures, laws, regulations and guidelines pertaining to long-term care.
Requirement description :
- 2 years of PT experience - Preferred
- Psych experience a plus
- LTC or Rehab experience - Required
- MO State License - Required (or willing to obtain)
