Job Title: Physical Therapist (PT) Job Specialty: Outpatient Rehabilitation Job Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Shift - 8-hour days, typically 8 AM to 5 PM Monday-Thursday, Friday from 7 or 8 AM to 12 PM Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years of current physical therapy experience required License: Must be a graduate from an accredited school of Physical Therapy Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Must-Have: - Flexibility to work in Inpatient Physical Therapy as needed- Experience with vertigo (LSVT BIG Certification preferred)- Previous rehabilitation experience required- At least 3 months of previous travel experience required- CPSI EMR experience highly preferred- Experience working with Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) preferred- Own vehicle is required due to limited public transportation Job Description: - Provide evaluations and treatments including manual techniques and therapeutic exercises- Treat patients with varying diagnoses including post-operative care, joint replacement, back pain, tendonitis issues, general deconditioning, balance, and vertigo issues- Use advanced hands-on techniques combined with patient education and individualized rehabilitative programs- Assist patients experiencing a range of conditions, including: - Orthopedic and sports injuries - Gait training and balance training - Fractures, sprains, and dislocations - Musculoskeletal dysfunctions - Neck and back pain - Neurological disorders (such as strokes and Parkinson's) - Balance and fall prevention - Bone and joint diseases - Hand injuries - Workplace injuries - Pelvic floor dysfunction - Incontinence - Pulmonary rehabilitation- Average patient ratio: 8 per day Monday-Thursday, 4-5 on FridayRequested time off during the course of this assignment must be noted and verified upon submission.
