The Inpatient Care Unit (IPCU) at Springfield Hospital provides a diverse group of patients with outstanding, quality care. The age of our patients varies from day to day including pediatric through geriatric. Patients are admitted with medical, surgical, telemetry and progressive care diagnosis. IPCU has a total of 18 patient rooms including private, semi private as well as two rooms fully equipped to manage an intensive care patient while awaiting transfer to higher level of care. Springfield Hospital's Emergency Department, located at 25 Ridgewood Road in Springfield, VT, is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Our care team is comprised of highly qualified emergency nurses and clinicians capable of evaluating and determining the best course of treatment for any emergent condition. The Springfield Hospital Emergency Department has cared for more than 65,000 emergency patient visits over the past 5 years. With that volume, our care team has seen just about everything and is prepared for whatever arrives at our doorstep. From setting a broken bone to the initial treatment and triage of heart attack and stroke patients, we are committed to the well-being of our community. Upon arrival, unless your condition requires immediate attention by a provider, you will be promptly screened by one of our experienced nurses to determine the severity of your condition and the appropriate initial steps in your care. We are fully staffed around the clock with an experienced emergency medicine physician on site. You may be cared for by a physician, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant during your stay with us. If your condition cannot not be entirely managed with Springfield Hospital, we will coordinate your ongoing care and transfer to the closest available tertiary care center.

NO MORE THAN 5 DAYS OF RTO WILL BE ACCEPTED (less is better). Traveler must be willing to work Labor Day Holiday, including weekend before (If Needed/Scheduled).
