About the job

Performance Validation is seeking a full-time Temperature Mapping Technician to join our team in Indianapolis. The Temperature Mapping Technician reports directly to the Temperature Mapping Lead and will support the maintenance, calibration, and validation of Temperature Mapping equipment, as well as the preparation and administration of related assets.

Responsibilities

  • Perform temperature mapping project execution, which involves developing/designing studies, executing on-site projects, progress and status reports, and maintaining records
  • Maintaining temperature mapping equipment and conducting correct maintenance on assets, repairing and fabricating thermocouples
  • Support and interact with internal project leaders, respond to their inquiries related to equipment and maintenance, and coordinate on equipment needs and usage requirements to optimize service delivery.
  • Qualify new or replacement equipment, perform periodic reviews of equipment, and retire old equipment, updating calibration records/due dates, and investigate any calibration failures
  • Organize equipment, maintain accurate documentation and update inventory databases, order consumables, manage the system access for equipment, and manage the shipping/receiving process
  • Provide support in completing additional duties as assigned to ensure smooth operations and meet team/company objectives

Requirements you will need

Education:

  • Minimum of 1-year experience with maintenance, operations, calibration within a regulated industry
  • Temperature mapping experience preferred
  • 2-year technical degree or equivalent military experience preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Lift up to 25 lbs
  • Physically transport equipment between PV office and project work site
  • Occasionally climb stairs/ladders and work in tight spaces above/below client equipment
  • Don appropriate gowning and PPE for project site, as required

Experience:

  • Self-motivated individual who exhibits a professional demeanor, enthusiasm, and ability to work independently. Flexible and dependable.
  • Professionally represents the company. Interacts confidently with clients, contractors, management and peers.
  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills, high attention to detail, and ability to multi-task.
  • Highly proficient with office word-processing and spreadsheet programs such as Microsoft Word and Excel.

Regular travel is required, up to 25%, with potential to reach 50% as needed.
