The advising caseload will be determined based on number of hours worked (range is 10-29 hours per week). This position will support undergraduate students in the College of Science and Engineering and will be expected to provide accurate curricular and policy information to assist in short-term and long-term academic program planning and career goal clarification. This position will be working with all students served by the College of Science and Engineering Academic Resource Center, including transfer, military-affiliated, and pre-health students.Minimum Education and Experience Requirements* Master's degree or bachelor's degree with 18 hours of discipline-focused master level course work* Experience in university/college setting* Strong written and oral communication, interpersonal, problem solving, effective organizational skills, and detail orientation* Must exhibit cultural competence and possess a broad understanding of student academic, developmental, and social needsPreferred Education, Knowledge, Skills & Experience* Academic Advising experience preferred* Working knowledge of student development theory, advising strategies, and best practices to support student success initiatives in a university/college environmentRequired Certifications or LicensureNo required certifications or licensure.Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit College/School Information Work Hours Negotiable between the hours of 8:00AM - 5:30PM, Monday - Friday Work Days Negotiable days of Monday - Friday Hours Per Week 10 - 29 hours/week Type of Position Anticipated Hiring Range $880-$2,552/month Special Instructions to ApplicantsPlease note, this is a temporary position. The length of the assignment will be based on department need with the possibility of continuation. Temporary assignments cannot exceed 11 consecutive months without a full 31-day break from employment.
