About the Position

As a temporary assistant coach, your responsibilities will be dependent on coaching area. A basic list of responsibilities includes:

* Providing team and one-on-one student athlete coaching at team practices, games, and other team events

* Assisting head coach and student athletes

* Assisting student athletes with athletic and academic affairs

* Assisting with scheduling

* Managing and completing office duties related to team, such as general correspondence and emails

* Participating in coaches meetings, Athletic Department meetings and other committees

Required Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/experience

* Working knowledge of the rules and regulations of sport in which applying

* Excellent communication skills, including written

* Demonstrated ability to work independently and on a team while managing multiple projects and priorities

* Ability to provide effective leadership to student athletes to encourage both successful academic development and competitive performance

Preferred Qualifications

* Knowledge of NCAA Division II policies and ability to quickly learn GNAC policies

* Experience competing at a collegiate level
