Location: Heights Career Center and River Oaks Career Center
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm

Position Summary: Responsible for enrolling and providing services to 500 participants enrolled in other WFD Programs in Region 1 and 8 annually. Before enrollment, the potential participant must meet the Asset Limited, Income, Constrained, Employed (ALICE) financial threshold. Assists participants with services that include case management, financial literacy, career skills training, employment, and retention services. Advises participants on labor market trends and suggests career pathway training or retraining available through the Houston Academy for Career Development and any other training programs that partner with GWH.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Responsible for assuring that WFD follows all regulatory and accreditation standards.
- Provides intensive, comprehensive employment case management and career planning services to participants that align with the Client Journey Model
- Maintains a rolling caseload per program requirements.
- Review documentation necessary to ensure the participants meet the ALICE financial guidelines, GWH's customer flow, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Monitors and evaluates participant progress through individualized client journey plan; provides guidance and coaching to help participant resolve issues and remain motivated to obtain and maintain credentials and employment.
- Maintain real-time data entry, electronic and hard copy confidential files, and input necessary information into CaseWorthy (data management system), including progress reports, case notes, and completion and retention documentation.
- Verify client data entries by reviewing, correcting, or reentering data. Ensure staff are informed when account information is incomplete and follow up with the program teams to support and assist with data entry corrections.
- Review participant employment needs and the Individualized Journey Plan (IJP) to lay out job training plans and potential co-enrollment opportunities in other GWH career pathway programs.
- Provide referrals to safety net programs (211, Family Houston, etc.) to ensure workforce members are connected to additional services and support WFD.
- Provide information on 2nd Century Vision to participants to support the Talent Pipeline initiative (a work-based learning program).
- Works with Career Connection Team Members to prepare job seekers for employment, including resume preparation, interviewing skills, and workplace etiquette.
- Provide an onsite presence at GWH Select Stores to aid customers, donors, and partners.
- Conducts employment readiness workshops and one-on-one coaching to co-enrolled participants.
- Support Career Connection Team by participating in orientation, coordinating hiring events, and employer engagement.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date data entry for billing purposes.
- Attend all required United Way of Great Houston meetings, trainings, and events.
- Work closely with navigating agencies for cross-referrals to strengthen community partnerships.
- Refer participants to the Integrated Client Journey (ICJ) Tech Tool.
- Ensures that participants understand and conform to program policies and expectations.
- Provides job development assistance by working with Career Connection Team Members and matching participants to appropriate jobs.
- Assist with the reasonable accommodation process.
- Place participants in industry-related employment, providing ongoing follow-ups for retention records.
- Support participants with maintaining employment, including providing resources for job sustainability.
- Other duties as assigned by Management.

Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
- Minimum of two (2) years of workforce development, career services and/or human services experience.
- Excellent computer skills (proficient in Microsoft Office).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness is preferred.
- Ability to communicate and interact well with a variety of personality types.
- Ability to analyze opportunities and problems, identify and evaluate alternatives, and develop practical approaches to address any issues.
- Ability to plan, implement, and evaluate the achievement of goals, objectives, and work plans.
- Must have reliable transportation.
Key Performance Factors: Meet or exceed all portfolio programs' outputs, outcomes, and goals by serving 500 individuals annually. Meet program and participant training and employment outcomes. Encourage co-enroll eligible participants into GWH's career pathway opportunities. Ensure data utilization and accuracy of 90% or higher by conducting regular audits of CaseWorthy reporting. Execution of WFD projects as assigned. Physical Requirements/Work Environment: - Ability to sit, stand, bend, and reach.
