ApplyJob TypeFull-timeDescriptionMCHC's Lakeview Health Center in Lakeport, CA is seeking a professional, organized, and friendly Temporary Driver. They will drive a company vehicle and transports passengers and/or cargo in a comfortable, safe and timely manner. As a driver, you must have asafe driving record, follow all state and national driving laws, rules and regulations. A driver will follow prearranged routes to destinations or use maps and GPS to navigate routes. A driver will also maintain company vehicle upkeep and cleanliness.The length of the assignment is between 1 and 6 months, and we will provide you with plenty of notice before it ends.Duties Include:* Transport patients, via the company vehicle to and from the assigned health center, according to a set schedule and in response to additional requests, as communicated by designated clinic employee(s).* Assist ambulatory passengers into and out of vehicle, as needed and if safe to do so.* Carry a company cell phone, during working hours, to answer and respond safely to all calls (handsfree if driving), in addition to providing updates to Supervisor and/or patients, as needed (for example if running late or to report interruption in service).* Conduct daily preparation of assigned vehicle to ensure sanitation and cleanliness (interior and exterior), including removing all trash and disinfecting all surfaces of the vehicle touched by clients, between each transport. Facilitate the washing/vacuuming of vehicle, as needed, to keep looking clean.* Maintain service of vehicle by keeping the gas tank above ¼ tank, keeping a maintenance log, scheduling routine maintenance such as oil/filter changes, tire rotations, etc. Send receipts and documentation to accounts payable for reimbursement, at least monthly.* Maintain patient confidentiality, by limiting communication with patients, and keeping conversations private, even amidst transportation of other patients.* Notify supervisor immediately of any safety or maintenance issues with vehicle.* Communicate information to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization, who may be impacted by an unexpected change in the transportation program.* Share with Supervisor, patient feedback, which will help improve the quality of clinic services or for which safety or personnel concerns are present.* Return vehicle to the designated MCHC vehicle parking space at the end of each shift and ensure keys are stored according to site protocol.* Travel to other sites as needed.* Additional duties as assigned. Please check in with Supervisor during down-time to obtain additional assignments and/or follow protocols previously communicated by Supervisor.RequirementsMinimum Qualifications:* High school diploma or general education degree (GED)* Must have a valid California Driver's License. Job requires that driver maintain a good driving record insurable by our commercial insurance carrier and agrees that employer may sign employee up for the DMV Pull Notice program. Failure to maintain eligibility for insurance coverage may be grounds for dismissal. Failure to report change in driver's status (such as suspended or revoked license or citation for driving under the influence), will be grounds for dismissal.* Must have a minimum of four years driving experience, within the United States* Vision, with or without correction, which allows for safe driving, according to the California Department of Motor Vehicles.Preferred Qualifications:* Bilingual, Spanish language skills, fluent* Minimum of six months related professional driving experience and/or training.* Minimum of one year driving experience within Mendocino and Lake Counties.Salary Description$21.00 to $28.00 per hour, DOE
